Bio

Choice formed in Queenstown, New Zealand in 2003, starting out with vocals, guitar and djembe. Since then they have developed their sound and set up to incorporate a labyrinth of looping, with percussive drumkit, violin and bassy subs, creating a unique fusion of Celtic and orchestral ambient dub and d’n’b. They have played to audiences in NZ, Ireland, South America, Australia and England and have supported international artists such as Cara Dillon and Foy Vance and have shared stages with the likes of Dub Princess and Alive Metal Handpan.

Claire has been writing and performing her own material for over 25 years and has worked with many accomplished artists along the way. A self taught guitarist, singer and songwriter she has played to audiences all over the world, gathering inspiration for new material from her own experience and honest reflection of people and the world. There are many influences which paint her music, including a background in classical violin and Irish traditional music as well as the numerous bands she has sung and played violin with throughout the years.

Paul has been performing professionally for over 20 years with various bands, singer/songwriters, artists and theatre companies including, Flame Entertainment. He has worked with interactive communication companies such as Rhythm Interactive and played extensively in the Irish traditional folk circuit. He is heavily influenced by the New Zealand dub and drum’n’bass scene and has recorded and produced 8 albums of his own percussive work which you can find here.
